1) Yes, within reason. Fighting has always been part of the game and the fans want to see it.
ReplyDelete2) Fans want it. Hockey is considered a "tough" and physical sport.
3) More casual fans watch the Olympics (in general) than root for a specific NHL team. Also, you had the whole country (and world) watching the Olympics vs. a small market for one NHL team playing one game
3) Prefer watching NHL on the whole.
4) You can follow the team for a longer season. Olympics are fun for a short span of time, but with the NHL you can be a true fan.
5) Head shots and cheap shots should not be tolerated.
6) Serious suspension and large fine.
